Our inspiration
Sir M. Visvesvaraya grew up in Muddenahalli, a village in Karnataka, and became one of the greatest engineers India has known. He built dams, banks, colleges and industries that still serve the state, and India celebrates Engineers' Day on his birthday, 15 September.
He believed that discipline, honesty and hard work, applied patiently, lift whole communities. That's the standard behind K21: an engineer's rigour, open to every learner, wherever they were born. Engineer, Dewan of Mysore and Bharat Ratna, he proved that a student from a village could build for a nation.
